Date 09/05/2024

Learn how QSFPTEK's solutions helped Spencer Technologies build a high-reliability, cost-effective network with MLAG architecture and 10GBASE-T SFP+ modules, enhancing performance and scalability.

Background

Customer Name: Spencer Technologies

Industry: IT Service Provider

Country: the United Kingdom

Company Size: 201-500 employees

Customer Voice: Spencer Technologies is known for providing comprehensive IT services. As our business expands, we need an efficient, reliable and secure network infrastructure to support our rapidly growing needs.

Challenges

Networks must be designed simultaneously for high reliability, high performance, and easy management. It is also important to reduce costs.

Solutions

QSFPTEK Topology Design:

Firstly, QSFPTEK uses two high-performance S7600-32C at the core layer to ensure high reliability and scalability.

Secondly, the S7600-48X6Q is used at the access layer, which supports MLAG. This architecture allows for redundancy, load balancing, and increased bandwidth. Redundancy in this architecture ensures that if a device or link fails, the network will still operate smoothly, avoiding the potential risk of a single point of failure. Load balancing distributes network traffic evenly across multiple paths or devices, optimizing resource utilization and preventing overload. At the same time, the increase in bandwidth effectively improves data transfer speeds to support the demand for high-density traffic, ensuring that the network maintains excellent performance even under high loads.

Finally, we chose the 10GBASE-T SFP+ copper modules to meet the customer's flexibility requirements. The RJ45 port on the switch is generally used to connect with the network cable. However, most switches have fewer RJ45 ports. Hence, it is necessary to use the electrical port module to convert the optical port into an electrical port to solve the problem of the lack of RJ45 ports.
