I used two of these to form a 2gbps aggregated uplink to the PoE switch. While the link aggregation was not strictly necessary, it is nice to not have a 1gbps bottle neck for multiple 1gbps devices on the PoE switch. Plus you have the redundancy if one should fail. Despite being listed as SFP+, these worked in the SFP ports on both switches, operating at 1gpbs (each).
