The NVIDIA/Mellanox MMS4A20-XM800 Compatible QT-OSFP224-800G-DR4 supports a maximum data rate of 850Gbps. It enables the fiber link of 500m over single-mode fiber (SMF) with MTP/MPO-12 APC connectors. 800G OSFP224 DR4 supports InfiniBand XDR protocol, adopting the Pulse Amplitude Modulation of 4-channels denoted as 200G-PAM4.

This transceiver is compliant with IEEE 802.3dj, OSFP MSA Specification Rev 5.1, and CMIS Rev 5.2. The DDM (digital diagnostics monitoring) function is supported on the 800G optic transceiver to achieve real-time operating parameters monitoring.

 

The MMS4A20-XM800 800G OSFP224 DR4 module supports the XDR 800Gb/s InfiniBand protocol. With a flat top design, it is used to link the Quantum-X800 QM3x00 switches using Twin-port OSFP224 2x800Gb/s transceivers to the dual 800Gb/s ConnectX-8 mezzanine card in liquid cooled system and ConnectX-8 PCIE cards. QSFPTEK NVIDIA InfiniBand compatible optics are 100% tested in NVIDIA InfiniBand host devices, ideal for InfiniBand NDR end-to-end systems

This 800GBASE-DR4 OSFP224 module utilizes Broadcom's top-tier PAM-4 DSP chip combines ultra-low bit error rate with the industry's lowest power consumption. It uses advanced equalization technology to compensate for optical impairments and integrates FEC functions to ensure link reliability, providing core support for high-speed data centers and AI clusters.

 


  


   

Flat-top Design for Liquid Cooled Systems

   

Finned-top modules feature a heat sink on the top of transceiver or its laser. With superior thermal management, they are ideal for switches requiring efficient heat dissipation in long-term stable operation, such as Quantum-2 InfiniBand switch and the Spectrum-4 Ethernet switch.

 

Flat-top optics are used for adapters and Data Processing Units (DPUs), including the ConnectX-8 InfiniBand adapter in liquid cooled system and ConnectX-8 PCIE cards. Flat-top design can maximum optical coupling and transmission efficiency.
