It is an air-cooled switch powered by Quantum-3 ASIC designed for standard 19-inch rack cabinets. As the world’s only fully offloadable In-Network Computing platform, it provides ultra-low latency with highest port density and data throughput (delivering 144 ports of 800 Gb/s connectivity per switch). By leveraging hardware-based NVIDIA Scalable Hierarchical Aggregation and Reduction Protocol (SHARP) v4 and deep NCCL optimization, the Quantum-X800 switch offloads critical collective operations to the network, significantly accelerating application completion times while reducing operational complexity and cost.
Designed to power massive compute fabrics, the NVIDIA Quantum-X800 supports scale-out topologies of up to 10,368 NICs in a simple two-level fat-tree structure.
