It enables the fiber link of 50m over multi-mode fiber (MMF) with dual MPO-12 APC connectors. QSFPTEK manufactured 800GBASE-SR8 (2x 400GBASE SR4) OSFP complies with IEEE 802.3-2022 8x100GBASE-VR1 optical interface, IEEE 802.3ck-2022 8x100GAUI-1 C2M electrical interface, OSFP MSA Specification Rev 5.0 Type 2, CMIS Rev 5.0.
DDM (digital diagnostics monitoring) function is supported on the 800G fiber optic transceiver to achieve real-time operating parameters monitoring. Adopting the Pulse-amplitude Modulation (PAM4) modulation, the SR8 OSFP achieves 800 Gigabit Ethernet through 8x 106.25 PAM4. The 800G SR8 OSFP supports Ethernet (ETH) protocols. With an open finned top design, the OSFP-IHS is used in Ethernet Spectrum-4 air-cooled switches to switches, ConnectX-7 and BlueField-3 DPUs. QSFPTEK NVIDIA Ethernet compatible optics are 100% tested in NVIDIA Ethernet host devices, ideal for Ethernet NDR end-to-end systems

This 2SR4 is for short-distance multimode interconnection. Compared to another similar product I used before, I feel that this one has slightly better heat management. To be honest, the biggest problem with these short-range modules is instability, but this one has been working quite reliably so far.
