Arista Compatible 800G OSFP 2x DR4 transceiver module supports a max data rate of 850Gbps. It enables the fiber link of 500m over single-mode fiber (SMF) with dual MTP/MPO-12 connectors. The 800 Gigabit Ethernet signal is carried over 1310nm. QSFPTEK manufactured 2x 400GBASE DR4 OSFP complies with IEEE 802.3cu-2021, IEEE 802.3ck-2022, OSFP MSA HW Rev 7.0, CMIS Rev 5.0. DDM (digital diagnostics monitoring) function is supported on the 800G fiber optic transceiver to achieve real-time operating parameters monitoring. Adopting the Pulse-amplitude Modulation (PAM4) modulation, the 2x DR4 OSFP achieves 800 Gigabit Ethernet through 8x 106.25 PAM4 Retimed 8x100GAUI-1 C2M electrical interface. The 800G 2x DR4 OSFP is widely used for 800 gigabit Ethernet, data centers, and 800G to 2x 400G applications.

This 800GBASE-2DR4 QSFP-DD module utilizes Broadcom's top-tier PAM-4 DSP chip combines ultra-low bit error rate with the industry's lowest power consumption. It uses advanced equalization technology to compensate for optical impairments and integrates FEC functions to ensure link reliability, providing core support for high-speed data centers and AI clusters.
Utilize 8x electrial lanes and 8x optical lanes modulated at 100G PAM-4 per lane. On the output side, it convert 8x 106.25Gb/s electrical signal to 8x 106.25Gb/s optical signals. On the receiver side, it convert 8x 100Gb/s optical signal to 8x 100Gb/s electrical signals.

We've run this 2DR4 through several business cycles, including capacity expansion and traffic switching. A notable point is its consistent performance across different stages; there haven't been any sudden periods of instability. Many module issues don't surface immediately after deployment but only after running for a while, and we haven't seen any similar signs yet. Overall, it's the type of system that "remains less worrisome the longer you use it."
