    Arista Networks OSFP-400G-DR4 Compatible 400GBASE-DR4 OSFP Closed Finned Top PAM4 Optical Transceiver Module (1310nm, 500m, Single-Port MPO-12/APC Connector, SMF, 0℃ to +70℃, DDM)

     

    The Generic compatible 400GBASE-DR4 OSFP is a closed finned top transceiver module designed with Integrated Heat Sink (IHS) for use in 400 Gigabit Ethernet links up to 500m over OS2 singlemode fiber (SMF). It supports a max data rate of 425 Gbps with a single 4-channel MPO-12 APC optical connector. Adopting the Pulse-amplitude Modulation (PAM4) electrical and optical modulation, the Datacenter Reach 4-channel (DR4) OSFP achieves 400 Gigabit Ethernet through 4-channels of 100G-PAM4. QSFPTEK manufactured DR4 OSFP complies with 400G Ethernet, OSFP MSA, CMIS 4.0, RoHS, IEEE 802.3bs. The DDM (digital diagnostics monitoring) function is supported on the 400G fiber optic transceiver to achieve real-time operating parameters monitoring. 

     

    The 400G DR4 OSFP-IHS is for Ethernet air-cooled switches and support 400G to 4x 100GBASE-DR breakout application.

    • Can I plug an OSFP optical module to a QSFP-DD port?
      No. QSFP-DD and OSFP are two different form factors and they have completely different shapes and sizes. You can only use one kind of form factor in the corresponding system, for example, if you use OSFP system, then you must use OSFP transceiver and cable.
    • Can I plug a QSFP28 optical module to a OSFP port?
      Yes, but you need to use an adapter. When inserting a QSFP28 module into an OSFP port, the OSFP port must be configured for 100G instead of 400G transmission rate
    • What 400G form-factors does QSFPTEK support?
