    NVIDIA/Mellanox compatible 800G DR8 OSFP transceiver module enables the fiber link of 500m at 800Gb/s over single-mode fiber (SMF) with an MPO-16 APC connector. It supports InfiniBand NDR and Ethernet Protocols. With the Pulse-amplitude Modulation (PAM4) modulation, the datacenter reach 8-channel (DR8) OSFP adopts 8-channels of 100G-PAM4 electrical and optical Parallel modulation.

     

    With a closed top design, the OSFP-IHS is offered for Quantum-2 InfiniBand and Spectrum-4 air-cooled switches. Its main application is to link two switches together up to 500 meters. QSFPTEK NVIDIA InfiniBand compatible optics are 100% tested in NVIDIA InfiniBand host devices, ideal for NVIDIA end-to-end InfiniBand systems.

    Open Finned Top 800G OSFP optics with Integrated Heat Sink (IHS) design are used only in Quantum-2 InfiniBand or Spectrum-4 Ethernet air-cooled switches. Closed Finned Top 800G OSFP optics with Integrated Heat Sink (IHS) design are used for both Quantum-2 InfiniBand or Spectrum-4 Ethernet air-cooled and liquid-cooled systems. Flat top 800G OSFP optics with Riding Heat Sink (RHS) design are used in Liquid-cooled and DGX H100 Cedar7 Systems.

      No, not necessary. No matter whether you should directly connect 800G 2FR4 OSFP or connect 800G 2FR4 OSFP to two 400G FR4 OSFPs, you can make it by using a pair of duplex OS2 single-mode fibers.
    • Can I connect 400G OSFP SR4 modules with the 800G OSFP twin-port SR4?
      Yes. 400G OSFP SR4 (QT-OSFP-400G-SR4) is designed with an MTP-12 connector. Your 800G twin-port SR4 OSFP (QT-OSFP-800G-2SR4) is designed with two MTP-12 connectors. So you can use two separate MTP-12 OM4 multimode fibers (https://www.qsfptek.com/product/99508.html) to connect the 800G OSFP twin-port SR4 to two QT-OSFP-400G-SR4 modules.
    • Can I connect 400G OSFP FR4 with the 2x FR4 800G OSFP?
      Yes, you can. 800G OSFP 2FR4 is designed with dual duplex LC connectors while 400G OSFP FR4 is designed with a single duplex LC connector. You can use two LC duplex OS2 single-mode fibers (https://www.qsfptek.com/product/99386.html) to connect the 800G OSFP 2FR4 to two 400G OSFP FR4 modules.
