What's special about this module is that it's difficult to "evaluate" because it caused almost no problems. Running in a cross-rack single-mode link, traffic fluctuated constantly, but it didn't give any abnormal signals. Many devices "need to be taken care of," but this one is more like "the kind that won't bother you."

Network engineers usually only notice optics when something goes wrong. That's probably why I'm writing this review. These have been running between compute and storage racks for months, and they've given us absolutely nothing to complain about. No late-night alerts, no mysterious link drops, no support tickets. If you've worked in operations long enough, you'll understand why that's actually a five-star experience.

Installed these between storage and compute nodes using single-mode fiber runs around 300m. The switches recognized them immediately and link training completed pretty fast. No firmware complaints, no retransmission spikes, nothing strange after installation. Also appreciated the delivery speed since we were on a tight deployment schedule and the modules showed up in about 4 days.

We tested several units from different batches and performance stayed very consistent across all of them.

Right now, it's running fine with the 2x400G twin-port on my MQM9790-NS2F. I might buy some 1.6T modules here if this one works reliably with my switch.

Worked great on nvidia qm9700 so far. For the price, it's better than FS. Fingers crossed it holds up.

Needed DR8 modules to connect our Quantum‑2 switches at 800G over single‑mode fiber. Found these MMS4X00-NS on QSFPTEK's site, price was ridiculously cheap compared to Mellanox. Checkout was smooth, shipping was faster than I expected. Modules arrived, popped them in, and they worked right out of the box. No config headaches, no compatibility drama. For the price, I'm more than happy. Will be ordering more for our other switch pairs. Good stuff.

The module works fine now, but the shipping took longer than expected, that’s the only drawback. Apart from that, the product itself is really solid and performs just as well as the transceivers we used before from bigger brands. I appreciate the follow-up from their sales rep after delivery, that’s rare these days.
