It enables the fiber link of 500m over single-mode fiber (SMF) with dual MPO-12 APC connectors. QSFPTEK manufactured 800GBASE-DR8 (2x 400GBASE DR4) OSFP complies with IEEE 802.3cu-2021 8x100GBASE-DR optical interface, IEEE P802.3ck D3.0 8x100GAUI-1 C2M electrical interface, OSFP MSA HW Rev 4.1, CMIS Rev 5.0. DDM (digital diagnostics monitoring) function is supported on the 800G fiber optic transceiver to achieve real-time operating parameters monitoring. Adopting the Pulse-amplitude Modulation (PAM4) modulation, the 2DR4 OSFP achieves 800 Gigabit Ethernet through 8x 106.25 PAM4 Retimed 2x400GAUI-4 C2M electrical interface.
The 800G DR8 is an InfiniBand (IB) and Ethernet (EN) 800Gb/s 2x400Gb/s Twin-port OSFP. The OSFP-IHS with finned top design is used in Quantum-2 InfiniBand and Spectrum-4 Ethernet air-cooled switches to switches, ConnectX-7 and BlueField-3 DPUs. QSFPTEK NVIDIA InfiniBand compatible optics are 100% tested in NVIDIA InfiniBand host devices, ideal for InfiniBand NDR end-to-end systems.

This 800GBASE-DR8 OSFP module utilizes Broadcom's top-tier PAM-4 DSP chip combines ultra-low bit error rate with the industry's lowest power consumption. It uses advanced equalization technology to compensate for optical impairments and integrates FEC functions to ensure link reliability, providing core support for high-speed data centers and AI clusters.
The 800G OSFP 2DR4 module is designed with dual MPO-12/APC connectors, while each connector can connect to a physically separate 400G DR4 OSFP/QSFP-DD/QSFP112 module via an MTP/MPO-12 APC OS2 SMF. This enables 800G to 2x 400G breakout links without the need for using breakout fiber optic cables.

Utilize 8x electrial lanes and 8x optical lanes modulated at 100G PAM-4 per lane. On the output side, it convert 8x 106.25Gb/s electrical signal to 8x 106.25Gb/s optical signals. On the receiver side, it convert 8x 100Gb/s optical signal to 8x 100Gb/s electrical signals.
